It used to be you couldn't fit anything other than yourself and a passenger in a
truck's cab. Not anymore. Ram 1500 features excellent behind-the-seat storage
for Ram 1500 Regular Cab and the unique fold-flat steel floor in Quad Cab®.
Available steering wheel-mounted audio controls give you easy access to the new, optional six-disc in-dash CD player and AM/FM radio with a 240-watt amplifier that belts its sound through eleven speakers in seven locations.

Ram 1500 combines 4x4 independent front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering and an optional electric transfer case to give you one of the best-handling trucks on or off the road.
Choose from a long or short wheelbase. The short wheelbase affords you a 6-foot, 4-inch box while the long wheelbase gives you a spacious 8 feet of room for easy hauling of 4 x 8-foot sheets of plywood or drywall.
Four full-size doors that open to almost 90 degrees. Room for six. Tons of storage, including an available center armrest that doubles as a business console. With so many commonsense features, it’s no wonder Ram 1500 Quad Cab® has the interior space you need to get the job done. Rear doors that open 85 degrees separate the all-new Ram Heavy Duty Quad Cab® from the pack. An opening that wide makes entry and exit much easier than most other trucks. The forward-hinged doors also feature high-strength beams for increased side-impact protection.
Loading up your gear is easy, thanks to the space in a Quad Cab® or Regular Cab Ram heavy-duty truck. The two rear doors open up to 85 degrees so you can easily store your gear in the rear of the Quad Cab. The Regular Cab offers ample storage space behind the front seats, too.

And the standard 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 produces a rock-crushing 345 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque. We've limited traditional stamping and welding on our truck frames—hydroforming is here. This means that Ram's bones are molded with highly pressurized water, a revolutionary manufacturing process that reduces weight by eliminating the welds needed to assemble a conventional stamped boxed frame section.
